What is the Holocaust?
The Holocaust was the systematic annihilation of six million Jews by the Nazi regime during World War 2. In 1933 approximately nine million Jews lived in the 21 countries of Europe that would be occupied by Germany during the war. By 1945 two out of every three European Jews had been killed. The European Jews were the primary victims of the Holocaust.
But Jews were not the only group singled out for persecution by Hitler�s Nazi regime. As many as one-half million Gypsies, at least 250,000 mentally or physically disabled persons, and more than three million Soviet prisoners-of-war also fell victim to Nazi genocide. Jehovah�s Witnesses, homosexuals, Social Democrats, Communists, partisans, trade unionists, Polish intelligentsia and other undesirables were also victims of the hate and aggression carried out by the Nazis.

I think that the Holocaust is something that happened in the world that i wouldn't like for it to happen again. This book makes me remember Schindler's list and Because of Romek. The movie talks about some of the things that happened about how one man decided he wanted to buy some Jews and save their lives. About how terribly and how horrible the truth was, the truth about how they treated the Jews. The book "Because of Romek" is written by a man who is a survivor of the Holocaust. He talks about how they killed his whole family except for one of his sister who didn't even live in Europe and himself. He talked about how he had to hide in some walls and how he had to stand hearing the Germans killing his family. The pictures are really entertaining.
I THINK THAT EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENED AT THIS TIME SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED BECAUSE A LOT OF INNOCENT PEOPLE INCLUDING LITTLE KIDS WERE KILLED I DONT AGREE WITH WHAT THEY DID AND THESE PICS ARE SAD BECAUSE IT SHOWS YOUNG KIDS SUFFERING AND DYING IT ALSO SHOWS A MAN AND HIS DAUGHTER AND HE IS PROBABLY SAYING GOODBYE TO HER BECAUSE EITHER HIM OR HIS DAUGHTER ARE PROBABLY GOING TO BE KILLED. AND ALSO IT SHOWS PILES AND MORE OILED OF EITHER THE PEOPLE'S CLOTHES OR MAYBE EVEN ALL THE PEOPLE'S DEAD BODIES. I REALLY DONT KNOW HOW THEY WERE ABLE TO KILL SO MANY PEOPLE AND WHY THEY WOULD DO THAT. BUT I THINK THAT THE HAULOCAUST WAS JUST SOMETHING THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN LIKE EVERYTHING ELSE THAT HAPPENS BECAUSE EVERY THING HAPPENS FOR A REASON.
As I looked at the picture and see all of those people hurt I couldn’t help but to feel sorry for them. I think it is awful what happened. I also think that is wrong for Hitler or anyone to discriminate some one for any reason. I cant imagine how much people suffered for not looking a certain way or for not being in the “right” religion. I cant imagine how much anger Hitler had or why. That is my question why did he hate all these people for if they didn’t do anything to him. I wonder if he had a really bad childhood or what made him such an angry man. I think there was a lot of lack of love in his life and that is why he turned this way. I think that even though he did all these things and people somehow looked up to him, he wasn’t happy. I think that there was something missing in his life or maybe he was just always depressed and he hid it by hurting others so his life wouldn’t seem so bad. I think that the pictures are really depressing.
While i was watching the pictures i saw a lot of pain on the people. Persons killing inocent people i see kids families that are all died. A bunch of person just in the floor died because of what they belive little kids that probally don't even know whats happening and why they are doing this to them. What i feel when i see this bunch of people in the floor is that i don't want to past through this i don't know what i will feel if i see they are hurding my family the persons that i love. When i see all this people that are hurt for what is happening with their lifes i don't want this for me.
The holocaust was an act of cruelty that forever scare the world it was the cruelty that flowed trough the spokesman of this that is so disturbing.
The first picture of the star of David looks the same as the description on the Before you read page that was handed out to us yesterday. If I am correct on this account this star of David was used on the clothing of the Jews to show that they were Jewish. This mark was to show who was in the eyes on the Nazi’s who was inferior. This was a dark time in history and the prosecution by race or religion is never right or expectable.
The second group of pictures are more than likely of the Nazi's Concentration Camp it shows the inhumane treatment of those persecuted. The image is horrifying consider that such cruelty could exist in the world. The pictures shows that these people were not fed, beaten and gassed.
The third and final group of picture shows a picture of what I assume is Hitler embracing a small child which shows that he was just a man, a man who did such evil but still human. the last to pictures from what I can tell are pictures of dead bodies all death committed trough hatred is always one death that should have never happened.

As i was looking at these pictures, i saw so many people suffering. I can't even imagine what they were going through. There was so much happening outside of those pictures. Everyone was unaware of what was going to happen to them. The Holocaust was a very bad time in history, that no one will forget. All those people were killed just because of their
sexuality/religion/mental and their physical form. Its really hard to imagine that something like that could have happened considering the fact that we don't have hate groups like that in our days. I wonder if any of the nazi's even felt bad at one point at all? I don't understand how people can be so cold hearted and do such a thing. You cannot destroy things such as people. There will always be things on earth that people don't want but you have to deal with it because God put it there for a reason. The nazi's have done a lot of damage to large parts of the world. What would Hitler have done to the Nazi's after the Jews were gone? Would he get rid of them too? Its crazy how one man can get a lot of people to control so much. The nazi's killed so many people; and i wonder, if it ever crossed their mind, about how they would feel if it was happening to their family?
On the first couple of pictures they look horrible looking at them. There are little kids that are very skinny and they look hungry and there's bodies of kids that are lying on the ground sick or died.theres Jews that are lock up in wooden wages. There's thousands of bodies that are thrown in a huge pillows were they rought. The Jews would use the little kids to test there medicine. they also had beroles with there died bodies. Jews would have a war and two out of three would be killed. They also had nine million Jews lived in the 21 countries of Europe that would be occupied by Germany during the war.
I think that what they did to all those Jewish people was not right. They make them work for nothing and if they were to slow they would shoot them and replace them with a new person. The Jews made ammunition for the Germans. They had labor camps were the Jews worked. Some Jews worked all of there life and died there. They had women, men and children in the labor camps. Every year doctors would come to the labor camps to dived the old from the young .If they were old and couldn’t work any more they'd get put into a gas chamber. Many Jews got sent to the forest to dig their own grave. Germans though babies in the air for practice shots. Some people wanted to die before their children so that they wouldn’t have to watch all of his or she's family die right in front of them. A lot of people didn’t want to believe all the rumors that were going around. Many people thought that you weir crazy if you tolled them what was really going on. Every one was in disbelief they thought that the Germans wouldn’t attack them. the Germans moved in with Jewish families they slowly started to control them. Then the Jews couldn't do any thing. All of their belongings got taken away from them.
The Holocaust was an event that took place in history that involved the persecution and killings of millions of Jews. Not only Jews were killed or harmed in some way. Many Gypsies were also persecuted as well as some Soviet Union (Russian) prisoners of war (POW) were killed. To persecute means to discriminate certain people especially because of religious beliefs. The Holocaust occurred during World War II. During the Holocaust six million Jews were beaten, tortured, and killed. To myself the pictures were very graphic. It shows how badly Jews suffered in the Nazi concentration camps. It’s incredible how much the Jews suffered for no reason. Another group of people who were killed were Jehovah’s Witnesses. The Nazi threw Jews into pits to bury them. They also burned people and I assume created a very unpleasant smell.

I think that the holocausts is horrible. I can't believe that all this happened and no one said nothing about it. I never thought that one person could cause so many deaths. I hate the fact that in 1945 two out of every three European Jews had been killed. I can’t believe that they would make the Jews wear a star in their shirt. I couldn’t picture myself having to go trough all the things that the Jews went trough. I also think it’s crazy how many people Hitler hated. I think that he must have been a psycho to do all the things that he did. When I see the pictures of all the people it makes me really sad to see the way that they looked . When I look at the pictures of the little boys and I see how skinny they were I can’t believe that they would let them get to that skinny and not care for them. I don’t know what I would have done if I lived back then because I know that I would have tried my best to help as many people as I could. I know that my main concern would have been the kids and baby's and the elder people. I think that everything that happened wasn’t fair and no one deserves to be treated the way that Hitler treated the Jews and not only the Jews but Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals and the other people that he hated.
