The camps played a large part in the Holocaust. It was a deliberate attempt for the Nazis to kill all the Jews. The Nazis used the first camps as prison camps. Most of these prisoners were Jewish. The reason for them being imprisoned was because of their political beliefs. Many of these people died because of the harsh ways. The Nazis still didn’t close the camps. Instead of closing the camps they expanded them. The Nazis filled their camps with religious people. The Nazis were the Aryan group. The religious people were Jews. Also were the Gypsies.
